Just caught the second episode on Hulu, and I give it an emphatic... Meh. Again, they seem to be pushing Danielson, though I guess turning him into the early underdog. I like Justin Gabriel, and Skip Sheffield is alright (Yep, yep, yep!), but I think Wade Barret could be a surprise favorite for his William Regal-esque brawler heel style.Speaking of Regal, does anyone else think he's looking more and more like David Bowie these days? When he was in the ring with Skip before the match, looking disgusted and walking away, the opening line from Bowie's "Underground" was playing in my head. "No one can blame you for walking away..." -------------------- *This banner is Ravel-icious!

Michael Cole is quickly becoming the WWE Mike Tenay meaning that his voice annoys me. Now I tuned in last night to give it a second chance, so many people were talking about how good the show was, so I decided maybe I had a bias on what I wanted the show to be. However, to me last night was still no better. This show is full of guys I hate (not talking about the pros,) So far the only guys I like are Brian Danielson and Hardy's kid whose name escapes me, and Jericho's British guys seems like young regal. All the rest I can't fucking stand right now nor do I care what happens to them.--------------------

I agree with the extra sightings of Matt Hardy, Christian and the, two men who at different times in their careers have both claimed to be our saviors, in CM Punk and Y2J. They did a good job of picking their pros. Carlito, Regal and Miz as well are all guys I am a fan of. Unfortunately this show sucks, it's basically what they wanted ECW to be, a show where new talent get's over and that's fine. But I can do without the "These guys are competing for a contract." When it's obvious there is no competition. It's also obvious that Michael Cole is a douche bag and an asshole.--------------------

Yeah sorry this show sucks. They're supposed to be competing for a contract? Where are the competitions? What are they being rated on? It seems we know Daniel Bryan (Brian Danielson) is the one they're pushing, well so far. CM Punks guy is spray tanned beyond belief. Honestly it looks like a 1930's blackface routine. I thought it would be more like The Ultimate Fighter with the Coaches teaching the guys the ups and down of wrestling, instead it's just scripted and televised dark matches and try out matches. Waste of time. I actually wanted a more behind the scenes look at wrestling and getting to know each wrestler on a more personal level.--------------------

I've seen it reported today that Bill Regal will be replacing MVP as a trainer on WWE Nxt and will be the "pro" assigned to wrestler Skip Sheffield. When I first heard about this concept Regal and Finlay were the first two names I assumed would be enlisted as trainers so I was surprised to see neither one of them associated with the show. Having Regal involved though does make a lot of sense considering his years of experience and technical ability. Regarding the Miz/Danielson situation I think that you are right 21CDB. I could easily see it being worked into an angle. I don't have any doubt that the WWE is going to twist things and work them to their liking whenever possible despite the "reality" tag. --------------------

No pairing of WWE NXT Pros and Rookies has garnered more scrutiny than Daniel Bryan and his allocated mentor, The Miz. In a blog post on the WWE Universe website, the United States Champion responds to those online saying he's not fit to teach a wrestler of Bryan's caliber. In its entirety, here is what The Miz wrote:Mentoring Daniel Bryan on WWE NXT There has been a lot of controversy this week about me mentoring Daniel Bryan on WWE's new show, WWE NXT. I've read a lot of interviews, blogs, ect. about the matter and they all seem to be asking the same thing. "Why is The Miz mentoring Daniel Bryan when Daniel Bryan has wrestled all over the world for 10 years plus?" It's come to my knowledge that some members of the WWE Universe think they know everything about WWE and what it takes to be a WWE Superstar. They think that if a guy does well in the independent minor leagues, then all of a sudden he should be in the WWE. They think that if a guy can main event in front of a hundred people at a bingo hall, then he's ready to main event at WrestleMania. Just because fans on the Internet say you're ready doesn't mean you really are. Just because a fat guy with no teeth who sits in the front row, buys your T-shirt and says you're the king of wrestling, doesn't mean you really are. What the WWE Universe doesn't understand is there is so much more then I can describe in a single blog involved in being successful in the WWE. My job is to make Daniel Bryan a star in the WWE, because let's face it, if you look at a picture of him right now, do you think STAR? No, Daniel Bryan looks like my accountant ... ordinary and bland. Maybe if he had The Miz's charisma and look, he would have been in the WWE by now. Don't hate on me because it didn't take me a decade to get a WWE contract and go down in WWE history to be the first Superstar to win the United States Title and Unified Tag Team Titles. Don't get me wrong, Daniel Bryan has all the talent in the world, but every wrestler has weaknesses. And that's what my job is, to find his weakness and make him the biggest star possible. I just hope Daniel Bryan doesn't believe himself what these ignorant members of the WWE Universe believe about him, or WWE NXT is going to be a nightmare for him. MIZ I think what he really means is don't hate on me for getting into the WWE by taking part in some second rate reality TV series (Tough Enough). Daniel Bryan or Bryan Danielson as most know him as was probably the biggest name wrestler on the independent circuit before signing with the WWE and because of that I've heard some people claim that he is above competing on a show like WWE Nxt. Thoughts? --------------------
