I've just had another peruise on youtube, I couldn't find it either As Muffin said, when the DvD comes out in the States next week i'm sure many people will be uploading it.

Am good thanks, will watch Ultimate BB but am not overly interested in it. I really hope Dave wins this series but can't see past Josie (Who I can not stand, one of my least fav housemates of all time). I hope Dave gets the shock Rachel/Cameron win where the least offensive and happy go lucky housemate wins it all.

Hope Ultimate BB has Alex Sibley, Victor, Jason, Ahmed, John Tickle and Glynn. Celebrities, Alex Reid and Coolio. Seems to be a distinct lack of females there. I hear Siavash is going in [Freak]

This is going to seem quite hard to believe, but the day you posted this I actually came on to the forums like a few minutes after (intuition or what?) and then went on a search to find the video. Seemed it had been taken down everywhere but saw a 3 minute clip of Ben telling the Dharma drop people they can go home.

Really need to hear the resolution to Hurley Bird though.

How you doin anyway? Watchin Ultimate Big Brother?

It looks like they've taken it down just about everywhere, so I haven't gotten to see it yet. The actual DVD comes out next week sometime though, so should be easier to find it then.

(Sorry for the extremely late reply...)

It's a season 6 DvD extra. An epilogue of Ben and Hurley's time running the island. It has a few wow factors in it, and answers some questions. Including who the next Jacob is (After Hurley) which is pretty huge. I found the video on youtube, but it has since been removed when I just searched for the link. I'm sure it's around somewhere though, when you've seen it let me know your thoughts. It's only 12 minutes long, but a really cool extra I thought.

Tipsy (If you're still out there...) the 12 minute bonus footage of Ben and Hurley running the island is out now, and on youtube. It's pretty good stuff and answers a few questions very nicely. Most importantly of all was the one about...

THE HURLEY BIRD!!!!!

...ok, the explanation was lackluster, but damn it, I finally have some closure.

Oh I know it not from any official Lost people I never claimed it to be an official explanation, he even says that he's just a regular Lost fan in the artical. I just agree with his way of thinking in regards to the finale.

Just out of curiosity where is this post? I know it was a joke, but I still wanna see what you said.

I came across this artical, it pretty much sums up my final thoughts on how the show ended and some unanswered questions. The island was 100% real, purgatory was only came afterwards.

ABC is showing an Encore of the Finale this Saturday so I'll probably rewatch it. Also gonna have to pick up the previous seasons on DVD. As lame as it was the church ending got me nostolgic for the days of Charlie and Mr. Ecko, among others.

Oh it was what Spade said but he blew it, he was supposed to help and pull a joke.

About the article, its fake. Believe me that aint from anyone of the production crew, thats a fan. Simple.

I just don't want to believe they've been dead for 6 series. I couldn't handle that. It definitely seems like they went for a ''make up your own ending''. But the flash sideway ending was pretty ridiculous, seemed made up on the spot.

Damon Lindeloff: I got it! Christian isn't dead, comes back, hugs Jack and walks into a room full of light, then LOST, end credits.

Other writers: *Slow applause turns into a raptious standing ovation*

Damon Lindeloff: !!!!!!!!! Everyone will HATE this. Brilliant

8/10 overall for me. The early season stuff was just too good to give it any lower. And every Lost fan worth their grain knows what ''Make Your Own Kind Of Music'' means. Desmond's debut, classic. I remember thinking it was a a Sawyer flashback during the opening of series 2.

Oh, and I was technically correct. I called the end shot being Jack laying in the jungle, ala the opening to the pilot. His eye closing in the finale after opening in the pilot was a nice touch.

What I said to another friend was that for character closure it was probably the finale we all wanted. But for island mysteries is was absolutely terrible, and like me, I imagine most wanted mysteries answered over character closure.

And in closing, Tipsy, Hurley riding the Hurley Bird while protecting the island as final shot of the series really is a jean creaming image.

What about Desmond though? Was he in fact on the plane the whole time, or did he die before and got sent to the island? Thats something else that makes me think that the island was real and the the other time line was purgatory taking place several years after everyone had died. I think this is one of the great (and very frustrating) things about the show though, they leave everything open to interpretation.

Where was Hurlys heartfelt goodbye, from Sawyer and Kate. Jack got Kates love and Sawyers friendship, but Hurly who was probably the only character to be loved my everyone on the island verily gets a see ya later.

I need a new weekly show now

In my opinion of course.

Well, despite being alive or dead, if it was a purgatory, and they tought they were alive, and the show ended being about the characters it wouldnt be a purgatory...FOR THEM, but being it at the same time, and even in the show they mentioned something about it being that.

As for the writers, JJ has said on youtube, that he was constantly re-writing stuff, so its plausible that it might have been changed yes.

But considering the end, and all the duality stuff etc, I do believe they died on the crash, and we just saw a show, ala sixth sense and the others, where they didnt know they were dead, and had to find peace, before moving into another state of post-mortum.

DT. that is probably the nicest way I have ever heard someone put being ridiculously pissed off with a theory. The internet is a horrible place. Actually just re-watching the ending now as it airs on Sky1, loved Jack's falling through the jungle death.

Now I've had your thoughts on the finale, I think I can finally leave the show to rest (for now). It reminded me of something I began thinking when Jack made Hurley leader, how awesome it would have been if the ending of LOST was Hurley flying around the island on Hurley bird (ala Avatar, but better).

Another thing this whole purgatory aspect has reminded me of is the South Park where Michael Jackson doesn't want to leave because he hasn't been accepted as a little girl. Jack is Jacko.

I think I have to award LOST a final rating of 9/10, the show could have been perfect if it wasn't for the fact that nothing really happened in season six. I will always remember that scene where Claire (in purgatory) asks Jack why their father always wanted her to have some random music box. I thought at the time it was a weird question to pose so close to the end that really didn't seem to have any meaning, and doesn't seem it will ever be answered. And on the note of what song should have been played at the concert, I would have marked out if it was 'Make Your Own Kind Of Music' ... re-watch the opening scene of Season 2 if you're confused, or just to treat yourself.

I remember being really frustrated in Season 3 but so glad I stuck with it when so many people were giving up. Jack in his underwater hatch and Kate in a cage may have been lame at the time, but that scenery feels somewhat iconic now. Early reports are that 'The End' was watched by 13M in the USA alone, no surprise thats 10M down on 'Man of Science, Man of Faith' but confusing how it could be a million down on the opening episode of season six.
