The Ultimate Forum Experience

Jay C (pictured on the right of the picture to the left - left is fellow forum member JoeySixPack) was born in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada on July 24th, 1984. The name on his birth certificate reads "James Arthur Clare"....or Jay C, for short. Soon after he was born, he moved to Vancouver Island, where he lived for over 15 years. His favourite childhood activities included watching WWE, wrestling with his classmates, watching NHL hockey, and playing Ice hockey. At the age of 15, he developed a rare disease called "Celiac's Disease" (an inability for his body to digest gluten in wheat products) and lost 45 pounds.

Spending time in the hospital was rough, and not knowing what his diagnoses was in the hospital, Jay C just got sicker and sicker, losing more and more weight. Jay C was 6 foot 2 inches, 136 pounds, and days away from certain death, when he amazingly found the ability to diagnose HIMSELF with a wheat allergy, which he noticed was the main cause for his sickness. With special care to his diet, and this being 2 years later at the age of 18, Jay C posts today on 3Strand forums! "It was one hard road back to the top, struggling with depression, and while recovering, I was (and still am) experiencing a constant "pressure" feeling in my head that debilitates my entire body to some degree! Regardless, now I realize how precious life is, and just how lucky I am to be involved with a great place like 3Strand forums!". His comeback is truly admirable, and Jay C is truly a class-act.

Now onto his 3Strand Forums board history. Here is what he had to say about that: "I came here in January of 2002, and was accepted right off the bat. I posted quality thought-out posts, and continued to improve week, after week, after week. The posters I looked up to were Crash, Nash4Life, Ravel, and Emukilla. I quickly made friends with posters such as: the three posters mentioned above, Sundance, JoeySixPack, Hartman, PhilAxler, Shoohab, Ravel, TipsyRabbit, TheGame, The_Outsider, WP_Rulz, and Emmanuel. Eventually, I would add to that list of friends with posters: JoshTee, Bladedogz, Jerichorulz, Rc1, Daniel Edler, Dysfunction, and many other posters who I know I've failed to mention.". Jay C will be here at 3Strand forums for years and years to come, and we will all experience this as time goes on.

Presently, Jay C stands 6 foot 3, 188 pounds, and enjoys living the bodybuilding lifestyle. He says that the intense focus he had to put into his diet (because of his allergies) forced him to change his entire lifestyle. Nutrition plays a huge role in the bodybuilding lifestyle of eating and weight-training, and those two elements combined have helped Jay C gain over 50 pounds of muscle mass in the last 2 years, while recovering from his illness, which will last him his entire life. "I didn't consider my time in the hospital as a setback. I considered it a new beginning. And for my entire life, I know that my destiny, and what I want to do with my life is in my hands, and I have the power to work for whatever I want in life, and be successful in doing so!".

Jay C currently resides in Calgary, Alberta Canada. He is living with his 19 year old Sister, "Danis", and is attending high school (grade 12) next fall. He works at Subway, with a smile on his face every day, making subs and entertaining many while doing so. He finds humor in everything he does.
