Shoohab was born October 22, 1974 in Pekin, Il under the name Jason
Wallace Gohde. His parents were Wallace and Avis Gohde.
Shoo's parents divorced when he was just five years old. The
divorce was not a smooth one. During the split, Shoo remembered
going to his dad's new house with his mom and one of her friends.
She dropped off the car she was given in the split and "stole"
dads car.
Shoohab lived with his mom but saw his dad
every weekend. At the age of 12 Avis divorced her second husband
(this relationship, however, gave Shoohab his first half-brother,
who is 18 now). After the divorce, Shoo and his mother fought
constantly, so he decided to move in with his dad.
Shoohab's dad in the mean time had re-married
in 1986 to the woman he is still married to. Shoohab now had
a step-brother (now 20 but doesn't keep in contact with) and eventually
two half-brothers (now 12 and 14). In the beginning, Shoo and
his step-mother didn't have a good relationship. As time went
on, it got better between the two. Shoo also has a half sister
through his mother (now 10) and over the years, the relationship between
mother and son has healed as well.
Shoohab went to a small high school.
He graduated in the class of '92 with 75 other students. Shoo
wrestled amateur in 6th through 8th grade but Freshman year he decided
to grow his hair out and learn to play guitar. During this time,
he studied Tae Kwon Do, mainly to stay in decent shape. "TKD
isn't the best martial arts for self- defense, but is a good sport
that involves great work outs" Shoohab says. Shoohab also
was involved in art and drama club. Shoo had a few bit parts
in a couple plays, and in art club, he was president junior and senior
year. Shoohab also played guitar in a few bands, playing mostly
"glam" rock (Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Poison, Faster Pussycat,
etc). His bands played a few school dances, a talent show, and
a video store grand opening in Glasford, Il (what?).
Shoohab met his wife when he first moved
out of his dad's house in January of 1995. "Mrs. Shoo"
was a friend of Shoo's female roommate. Their first date was
January 28, 1995 and were married April 4, 1997. This gave Shoohab
his first child, a step daughter (now 9). He also has a son,
born February 2, 2000(2-2-2000) and his middle name is Jason (if you
noticed earlier, Shoos middle name is his fathers first name).
Shoohab has held many jobs in his lifetime,
which include detassling, dishwasher, fry cook (KFC), tele-marketer,
sound and lighting tech (fun job that had him rubbing elbows with
"Weird" Al Yankovich, but pay was lousy), gas station attendant,
pizza delivery driver (Dominos and Papa Johns), hard count clerk at
Par-a-Dice Riverboat casino, customer service rep for Sharp Electronics,
remote encoder for United States Postal Service, and a sewer technician
which he has been for over 3 years now ("well-paying, but messy
job")
Shoohab's sports background includes shotokan
karate, amateur wrestling, tae kwon do, cusho jitsu and tuete (striking
and grappling while manipulating pressure points and joints).
He also enjoys playing frisbee golf and basketball.
Shoohab bought a home in Bartonville, Il,
a small town of about 8800. Bville is about a 10 minute drive
from Peoria, Il. "I really like living in Bartonville"
says Shoohab. "It's a small, friendly town with very little
crime. A great place to raise the 'Little Shoos'".
Shoohab started watching pro wrestling around
the age of 8 and has been a avid fan, except for a brief period between
'90 and '91 and also a 5 month period in 1995, when he first moved
out on his own and couldn't afford cable TV.
As far as 3Strand goes, Shoohab just sort
of stumbled across it. Being his first forum, "I didn't
realize just how good it was until the hacks" said Shoo.
"I started going through posting withdraws and checked out some
of the others. Only then did I truly realize the greatness that
is 3Strand Wrestling Forums".
Shoohab would also like to give the following
advice to anyone thinking about joining..."Be yourself.
Don't try to play yourself up, or lie about yourself for respect.
Eventually you will mix up your facts and someone will notice.
Put a little thought into your posts, and re-read it before you hit
the 'add reply' button to make sure it is understandable. And
above all else, NO SPAMMING!!!"
